FWES ORCHESTRA CONCERT INFO—JANUARY 2017

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE OF FWES ORCHESTRA REHEARSALS AND CONCERTS VERY CAREFULLY AND POST IT AT HOME.



TUESDAY—1/3 & 1/10—7:30am Advanced Orchestra rehearses in GYM

WEDNESDAY—1/4/17—7:30am Beginner Orchestra rehearses in GYM




DAYTIME CONCERT—TUESDAY 1/10/17 AT 2:00 PM—FWES


All string students are to report to the cafeteria to tune

no later than 1:45 PM!! The concert dress is nice school clothes.

EVENING CONCERT—TUESDAY 1/10/17 AT 7:00 PM—FWES


All Beginner & Advanced Orchestra report no later than 6:45pm to

the cafeteria for tuning and warm up.

The concert attire is a white top with a black skirt/pair of pants.



There will be no 7:30am orchestrarehearsals after the 1/10/17 evening concert—

UNTIL rehearsals resume on Tuesday 2/21/17 for the Advanced Orchestra

and Wednesday 2/22/17 for the Beginner Orchestra.

Daily group lessons will continue as per the usual afternoon schedule.



PMEA D11 String Fest orchestra students @ FWES will meet for specially

scheduled lessons at 7:30am on Tuesdays 1/17 & 1/24 in room 114. String Fest will occur on Friday January 27, 2017--school bus will transport to LMHS.



All are welcome to attend the UDSD 2016 Honors Orchestra concert on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 7:30pm at UDHS PAC auditorium.



FYI—The FWES Spring Concerts @ 2 & 7pm will be on Tuesday 5/9/17.

FWES ORCHESTRA SUMMERTIME INFO

Please consider attending a local summer music program if you are staying in the area for most of the summer months, and/or weekly lessons with a private teacher. There are special local summer music programs offered at the Ambler School of Music, Settlement Music School in Willow Grove, and the Wissahickon School District—see Mrs. Herrmann for info. Please consider continuing your rentals during the summer months. If you do return the instrument for the summer, be aware that you will start with a whole new contract for the next year, losing any credit earned from this year’s rental. All rentals for Sept. 2016 should be confirmed with the music store by the end of August 2016.
