Philadelphia OrchestraConcert Trip

On Thursday March 30, 2017, the Upper Dublin High School Orchestra, Band, Chorus, and Guitar classes are traveling to attend an open rehearsal presented by the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra at Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Students must pay $6 each for the school district bus transportation. The program is as follows:


Bernstein Prelude, Fugue, and Riffs

Metheny/arr. & orch. Deviney Duo Concerto for Vibraphone and Marimba

Dvorak Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”

Bramwell Tovey Conductor
Christopher Deviney Vibraphone
She-e Wu Marimba

The students must bring a bag lunch to eat on the bus. Departure from UDHS via school bus is @ 8:50am, we attend the @ 10:30am rehearsal at Verizon Hall, then depart the hall @ 1:00pm to return to UDHS by 2pm. Students are requested to dress appropriately for attending an event at Verizon Hall.
Students should note that availability is limited to 50 seats. Therefore, reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
We are asking for each student to submit $6 payment ($6 check made out to UDHS FUND) for the bus and a completed Parent Permission Form
IMMEDIATELY—if they wish to attend. We must have 50 students to attend the trip to cover the cost of transportation. Please include your grade and student number on the trip slip for purposes of attendance.
